The award-winning hit Caribbean TV series from Barbados "Keeping Up With The Joneses" (KUWTJ) has now moved to the big screen. "KUWTJ: The Movie" is centred around the fictional Jones family (father Irving, mother Angela, daughter Tracy and son Nathan) who became famous after starring in a TV reality show. Life is going well but when the Joneses are kidnapped at a family picnic, all seems to be lost. However, hope is at hand when Angela's brother and three of his friends from a local mental institution go on a mission to save them. Well scripted and sympathetically portrayed, thrills and laughs abound!

It may be surprising to hear that, when the KUWTJ series was first broadcast in Barbados in 2011, although Barbados was one of the first countries in the Caribbean to have its own television station, KUWTJ was the first ever scripted series (drama, sitcom etc.) made in Barbados.

Also, when the series was aired in the UK in 2013, it was the first Caribbean broadcast in Britain for 20 years. And, when the film was premiered in London in 2014, it made history again as the first ever Barbadian film to be screened in an official cinema in Britain.
